There is a serious contention between members of monitoring committee constituted by the National Working committee of All Progressives Congress, APC and Lagos State APC executives over the conduct of the governorship primaries in the state.
While the Lagos executives are claiming the process has gone smoothly, the monitoring group said nothing has taken place because voting materials meant to be distributed by them have not been dispersed.
However the Lagos APC chairman, Tunde Balogun said the primary has been conducted according to the constitution.
But there is a protests by supporters of Governor Akniwunmi Ambode at the entrance of the Protea Hotel Alausa Ikeja.
The protesters were led by Oluwabunmi Adetola from Ward J, Shomolu LG. She said the council chairman was seen going from one place to the other flogging people whom they suspected were out to vote Ambode
