The Lagos Culture Theatre, Park Theatre, has been officially launched in Lagos, and plays are expected to run throughout the weekends of July until August 2017.
Park Theatre is a platform to provide and promote theatre culture in response to the community’s call for more community-based performances. It also aims to promote, curate and manage programs that will service the theatrical needs of the community, according to the creative partner, Segun Adefila.
The launch is set to bridge the gap between artists and the media.
It will feature a series of Wole Soyinka’s plays with the season ending with a performance by King Baabu and Oxzygen Koncepts. Swamp Dwellers and the Strong Breed are also expected to feature.
