Lagos Rail: Government diverts Marina traffic for 221 days

The Lagos State Government said yesterday it would divert traffic flow along the National theatre/Marina axis of the road from Monday, August 9 for a duration of about 221 days (7months, 1 week).

This is due to the ongoing construction of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (blue line).

The Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, in a statement released by the Ministry, stated that a robust Traffic Management Plan has been prepared to ensure safety of motorists and construction personnel during the course of the construction.

He explained that the Ministry will address the impact of the construction work on traffic and subsequently eliminate traffic related issues.
