Lagos targets 6m residents in health scheme
Launched in February 2021 as, the scheme was conceived to accelerate and improve access to qualitative healthcare.
The first phase of the Lagos State Health Scheme, ‘Ilera Eko’ is targeted at one million households, which translates to approximately 6 million residents within an 18-month time frame, the Commissioner for health, Prof Akin Abayomi has disclosed.
He explained that the scheme targets massive enrolment of the informal sector working with the State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA).
