A Lagos-based technology entrepreneur, Walter Enyioha, has called on Nigerian businesses to adopt proactive IT protection strategies amid rising cyber threats estimated to cost the country millions of dollars annually.
Enyioha, who is the founder of e-Technologies, warned that relying on reactive IT systems exposes organisations to severe financial and reputational risks, especially as regulatory penalties under the Nigeria Data Protection Act can reach up to ₦10 million per breach.
“We’ve spent years on the ground repairing systems and watching businesses struggle with unexpected IT failures and security incidents,” he said. “The reality is that waiting for something to break or worse, waiting for a ransomware attack is no longer sustainable. The financial and reputational damage is too high.”
To address the growing challenge, the firm has introduced e-Tech 360, a managed IT service designed to provide continuous protection through a subscription-based model.
According to Enyioha, the solution integrates 24/7 endpoint monitoring, enterprise-grade cybersecurity, and daily cloud backups into a fixed monthly plan billed locally, making it accessible for Nigerian businesses.
The service is delivered through partnerships with global cybersecurity firm Kaspersky and business software provider Zoho, enabling organisations to access enterprise-level tools with local technical support.
e-Tech 360 is structured into three tiers which are Essential, Plus, and Premium, allowing companies to align their level of protection with their operational risks.
Key features include round-the-clock monitoring and remote support, Kaspersky endpoint security with anti-ransomware capabilities and optional Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), email and collaboration management, as well as cloud backup systems designed for ransomware-proof recovery.
“The goal is simple: to detect and resolve issues before they escalate into emergencies,” Enyioha added. “Whether it’s maintaining business continuity during power disruptions or recovering quickly from cyberattacks, we have designed this solution to provide reliability, security, and peace of mind with predictable costs.”
The service is targeted at sectors such as fintech, oil and gas, manufacturing, and professional services, where IT downtime can significantly affect revenue and compliance obligations.
e-Technologies, which has operated in Nigeria for over eight years, specialises in managed IT services, cybersecurity solutions, email systems, and physical security infrastructure.
The company announced that e-Tech 360 is now available to businesses in Lagos and across other Nigerian cities.
