Lagos to build First Multipurpose Sports, Creative Arena In Africa

Lagos State yesterday kicked off the construction of the first multipurpose Sports and Entertainment arena in Africa.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu joined the developers for the groundbreaking of the project located around Palm Mall in Victoria Island.

According to the pioneer of the 12,000-capacity arena, Mr. Tayo Amusan a serial entrepreneur and Managing Director of Persianas Group, the arena would serve as a one-stop destination in Nigeria.

He stated that Nigerian artists and creatives are the major motivation for the project.

Sanwo-Olu stated that despite the country’s economic challenges, the country can still be innovative and have a sense of togetherness to create a daring project like this one.
