According to the governor, the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) had so far registered a 6.5million while it hopes to register additional 10 million residents before the end of the year.
LASRRA is an initiative introduced during the administration of ex-Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, with the aim of building a reliable database of all residents in the state, to enable effective and realistic planning, especially for the provision of social services and amenities.
The re-launch, he said, was borne out of the need to embrace change and align with global best practices.
Governor Sanwo-Olu disclosed that Sterling Bank invested N3 billion into the project; describing it as a clear-cut testament to the good that can spring forth when public and private institutions collaborate for the collective good of the state.
