The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) yesterday blamed the disruption in water supply in some parts of the state on an ongoing repair of some water channels.

The LWC Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Muminu Badmus, assured residents in the state that water supply would resume very soon.

Badmus, in a statement by the Corporation’s Public Relations Officer, Anifowoshe Razaq, explained that the disruption was due to the ongoing repair of water leakages at the LWC Akute intakes.

According to him, the repair was adversely affecting water production and supply at the LWC major waterworks at Adiyan, saying the LWC team of engineers was working hard on the site to fix the leakages.

The Adiyan water work is one of the major waterworks and, indeed, the largest one supplying 70 million gallons of water per day to Lagos residents and its environs.
