No fewer than six members of the National Assembly lost their re-election tickets in the just concluded primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State.

On Tuesday night, the party announced all the Senatorial and House of Representatives primary election results.

The announcement was made by Stella Okotete, chairperson of the party’s National Assembly primaries committee in the state.

In the House of Representatives, Joe Dashe defeated the sitting lawmaker, John Dafaan in the Qua’anpan/Shendam/Mikang Federal Constituency, while Bitrus Bagos unseated Ajang Iliya, the current rep in Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency.

The chairman also announced that Abubakar Shuaibu defeated the incumbent Daniel Asama in Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency while In Langtang North/Langtang South Federal Constituency, Beni Lar unseated the current member, Vincent Bulus.

The chairperson further declared that Ishaya Lalu , a serving reps member, winner in Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency, while Idris Wase, also, a serving member, emerged winner in Wase Federal Constituency.

She declared Dalyop Fom as the APC candidate for Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency while Yusuf Adamu Gagdi defeated Dr Jhon Tongshinen in Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam constituency.

In Plateau North Senatorial District, Simon Mwadkon defeated the sitting senator, Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang, while in Plateau Central, Bitrus Barji emerged winner after defeating Diket Plang, the current Senator representing the district.

Former Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong, secured the APC return ticket for the Plateau South Senatorial District.

Ms Okotete however stressed that the primaries were conducted in line with the APC constitution and approved guidelines, adding that only results submitted by duly accredited and recognised electoral officers were announced.
