Governors Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Olusegun Mimiko (Ondo) and Ayo Fayose (Ekiti) are absent at a meeting currently going on between President Goodluck Jonathan and PDP governors.

At about 4.45pm, the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio led his members to the meeting being held at the State House in Abuja.

The governors attending the meeting are Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), Lyel Imoke (Cross River), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Jonah Jang (Plateau), Martin Elechi (Eboyin) and Idris Wada (Kogi).

Of the absentees only Fayose delivered his state to Jonathan in the Saturday’s presidential poll.

Apart from failing to deliver their states to Jonathan Yuguda, Aliyu and Suswam also lost their own senatorial elections.
