Lamorde told to face Senate probe

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) and the Civil Society Networks (CSN) have condemned the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde for evading the probe by the Senate.
A statement jointly signed by the Secretary General of CNPP and CSN, Chief Willy Ezegwu and Comrade Abdullahi Yagana Shuaib, respectively, expressed dismay at what they termed the antics being deployed by the EFCC boss to frustrate the probe initiated against him.
“The allegations against the EFCC chair are grievous and affect the image and anti-corruption war being fought in the country. All hands must be on deck to ensure that the credibility of the EFCC is not tarnished, just as if found culpable, the EFCC chair must see to it that Lamorde or indeed any culpable persons face the full wrath of the law,” the statement said.
