Landlord ‘arrests’ tenant over breach of peace

A 31-year-old man, Paul Agwu, was yesterday docked before an Ikeja magistrate court, Lagos, for allegedly constituting himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace.

The police prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police, N. Peter,

told the court that Agwu committed the offence on September 16, 2019 at about 5.30pm at Ejigbo, Lagos.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the two-count criminal charge levelled against him.

Chief Magistrate Y. O. Aje-Afunwa admitted him to bail in the sum of N50,000 and adjourned the case till February 27, 2020 for further hearing.
