The Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the state government to respect rule of law over the political crisis in Langtang North Local Government Area.

The party said it was disturbed by the refusal of the state government to reinstate Ubandoma Laven as the substantive chairman of the local government area.

Speaking during a press conference, the publicity secretary of the PDP in the state, John Akans, said government was yet to obey the judgement of the court on November 2, 2021.

“The judgement in question is declaratory, and it is to commence forthwith, that Ubandoma Joshua Laven should proceed to office and complete his tenure, which ends on October 9, 2022,” he said.

The state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Chrisantus Ahmodu, did not pick his calls when Daily Trust on Sunday sought his response to the matter.
