LAPO Microfinance Bank will hold the second edition of its Sustainability Conference on October 31, 2025, in Lagos.

The conference, themed “Microfinance for Climate Resilience: Empowering Communities, Driving Innovation, Shaping Policy,” will bring together policymakers, development partners, academics, and industry players to discuss how microfinance can support communities facing climate challenges.

According to the bank, the event will focus on practical solutions that link finance, technology, and policy reforms to strengthen resilience at the grassroots.

The first edition of the conference was held in 2019 and featured discussions on sustainability and financial inclusion.

LAPO Microfinance Bank said this year’s edition will continue those conversations, with sessions expected to explore renewable energy adoption, access to clean water, sustainable farming practices, and other climate-related financing opportunities.
