The leadership of Nasrul-Lahil Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) has expressed deep shock on the demise of Dr. Aisha Bridget Ahmed Lemu.

It said though she died at a relatively older age particularly in this clime, NASFAT is still saddened by the death of the colossus.

National President of NASFAT, Engr. Kamil Yomi Bolarinwa said her death has further depleted the rich assemblage of women scholars in Islamic knowledge in Nigeria.

NASFAT condoled the family of Sheikh Ahmad Lemu over the death of the matriarch of the family, Hajia Lemu.

According to him, the entire NASFAT family felt “a great sense of loss by the demise of late Hajia described in glowing terms by many as an embodiment of excellence in knowledge as well as one with great capacity to disseminate such”.

“The death of the British born Islamic educationist, Bridget Aisha Lemu who devoted her life in the promotion of Islam is indeed a great loss to Islam and the nation at large,” Bolarinwa said.
