Lawal’s S’Court affirmation a victory for the poor in Zamfara – HADI

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal

The Hope Arewa Development Initiative (HADI), has described the recent affirmation by the Supreme Court of Dr Dauda Lawal as the duly elected Governor of Zamfara State as a victory for the poor masses of the state.

Supreme Court on Friday had ruled in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state governorship election petition filed by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reacting to the development through a statement signed in Abuja, by its National Coordinator Adamu Mohammed, the group said the victory was indeed for the people of Zamfara state who have for long been strangulated by politicians who did not have interest of the people at heart.

Mohammed said the Supreme Court verdict had saved the state, “considering the awe-inspiring developmental success recorded within Lawal’s seven months in office.”

Of particular concern, he said was the meticulous way the governor was handling the challenge of insecurity in the state.

“This is a divine intervention, and we salute the Supreme Court Justices for proving that they are the last hope of the common man.

“HADI appreciates the fact that power is from God, but condemns in totality the clandestine moves by some political elites in the state to truncate what God has destined to happen.

“We have no doubt in our minds that the Rescue Zamfara Agenda of Governor Lawal has come to stay, and it will benefit the people no doubt.”

Mohammed urged the people of Zamfara state to put all that had happened behind and rally around the Governor in his quest to develop the state and make it a destination for investors.

The group also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for being neutral during the whole process.
