Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Service, Sani Bala Tsanyawa, has extended his greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha.

In his message, Tsanyawa described Eid-el-Adha as a season for reflection, renewal and recommitment to values that strengthen both faith and society.

He noted that the festival, rooted in the obedience and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim, serves as a reminder that true devotion is expressed not only through worship but also through service to humanity.

He emphasised that Eid-el-Adha is more than a religious observance, describing it as a time to embrace compassion, generosity and unity.

According to him, the lessons of sacrifice and humility should inspire citizens to extend kindness to the less privileged, share with neighbours and promote peace and harmony within their communities.

“Eid-el-Adha teaches us that sacrifice is not only about giving up something valuable, but also about embracing responsibility for the greater good. As we celebrate, may this season bring joy, prosperity and renewed hope to every home, and may Nigeria continue to flourish in unity and strength,” he said.

Tsanyawa also prayed for wisdom and strength for Nigeria’s leaders, especially President Bola Tinubu, in steering the affairs of the nation.

He encouraged Muslim faithful to celebrate with gratitude, joy and a spirit of togetherness.

The lawmaker added that the values of Eid-el-Adha align closely with the principles of public service.

According to him, just as sacrifice and compassion strengthen communities, integrity and dedication strengthen institutions and ensure governance remains responsive to the needs of the people.
