A House of Representatives member, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has distributed fertilisers worth N200 million to farmers across the 177 wards in Ekiti State.
Bamisile, the chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), said the importance of the gesture is to encourage Nigerians to embrace agriculture.

He said there is a need for every productive Ekiti citizen to be encouraged to go into farming to reduce poverty and unemployment.
The Chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Ekiti chapter, Mr Adeola Alagbada, commended Hon. Bamisile for the gesture, saying the donation would boost food production in Ekiti.
