Ndume who represents Gwoza, Damboa and Chibok federal constituency of Borno under the ANPP told Kanem Trust that the projects are to be commissioned next week by Governor Ali Modu Sheriff.

He said the blocks of classrooms which cost about five N5 million and furnished along with offices are located in Kirawa village while the two boreholes were constructed in Hambagda and Mairami villages. The lawmaker explained that the ten million naira Mosque, at completion stage, is located in Damboa. The four projects cost about twenty million naira.

 Ndume said apart from the four projects waiting for commissioning, he had earlier built and rehabilitated 20 boreholes across the three local governments he represents with a view to complementing the efforts of state and local governments authorities in enhancing water supply. The boreholes were cited at the Gwoza general hospital, prison yard, Government Secondary School Ville, Kafa and Kaya wards in Damboa and other places in Chibok.  He said he had earlier distributed 300 sewing machines, 100 motorcycles, and 20 tricycles to youths, widows and disabled persons across communities in the constituency. He also disclosed that he had sponsored many youths with physical disabilities to primary, secondary and tertiary schools.

 He said, he hoped to do more before his tenure ends in 2011. Ndume said he chose to help the poor because he was from a poor background and as such he regards the down trodden as members of his immediate family.
