A statement from Rep Ado’s media office in Abuja, said the gesture was part of the lawmaker’s social responsibility and contribution to uplift the education sector.
The statement added that the lawmaker has provided teaching and learning facilities such as chairs and tables to schools since his election in 2011.
Ado, who is representing Daura/Mai’adua/Sandamu federal constituency, also distributed a total of 1,100 WAEC and NABTEB forms to students who succeeded in a remedial course he organised for those that failed their 0-level examinations.
“In 2012 he established remedial centres at various locations in his constituency for extra lessons for students that failed their 0-level exams. 2000 youths who failed their WAEC and NABTEB examinations have undergone extra lessons at the centres in 2012.
According to the statement, 70 teachers were recruited for the extra lessons rendered at the centres and that the lawmaker is paying them a monthly allowance of N15,000 each.
“This year, he has distributed JAMB forms to 70 students across his constituency, in addition to hundreds of students from FCE, Katsina Polytechnic which has also enjoyed various forms of assistance from him,” said the statement.
