A federal lawmaker representing Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency in Zamfara State Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace has donated 10 motorcycles to his former schools teachers.

The teachers honoured included those of primary, secondary and Islamiyya schools attended by the lawmaker.

Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Mai Palace said the idea was borne out of his desire to impact on the lives of teachers of his various alma-mater in view of their selfless sacrifices to his life.

According to him, though teachers reward is in heaven, there is need for the blessed among their students to assist in providing them with some basic needs.

Alhaji Kabiru said he would continue to consult them in both personal and official issues.

A former permanent secretary, Mal. Salihu Anka, who was a vice-principal at a school attended by Kabiru, said the gesture was what was expected of all right thinking students who are successful in life.
