A member of the House of Representatives from Gombe State, Aishatu Jibril Dukku, has donated six operational vehicles to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and vigilante groups in Nafada and Dukku LGAs to enhance security in the area.
She said four Nissan frontier patrol vehicles were for the NSCDC offices in the two LGAs, while one Sharon Galaxy each is for the local vigilante groups also in Dukku and Nafada.
The lawmaker, who is representing Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, also distributed various empowerment items to the constituents in Dukku and Nafada LGAs of the state, as part of her constituency project.
She said the gesture was to empower and reciprocate the support she received from her people because she could not quantify the amount of support enjoyed from her constituents. “This is my own little way of showing my appreciation,” she said.
All the items donated include the six patrol vehicles, 100 motorcycles, 30 Freezers, 31 power generators, 200 sewing machines, 21 Grinding machines, 100 pots, 100 hospital bed sheets and 50 well chairs.
Others are 21 pumping machines for irrigation, 30 wheelchairs, 350 mats, 24 Camp Gas, 24 frying pans and 24 cartons of noodles.
