A member representing Gassol 2 Constituency in Taraba State House of Assembly, Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim Naawe, has offered scholarship to 123 students studying in tertiary institutions.
He gave between N35, 000 and N45, 000 to each of the beneficiaries.
Alhaji Naawe said while presenting cash to the students in Mutum Biyu that he introduced the scholarship scheme to encourage students in his constituency to obtain higher education qualification.
He said that his constituency was lagging behind the rest of the constituencies in terms of literacy rate adding that there was the need to assist students.
