Hon. Wole Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has paid the first-term fees of 1,400 students in all nine government technical colleges in Osun State.

The intervention covers terminal fees, lesson fees, development charges, and other levies for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to his media office, the gesture is aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents and ensuring uninterrupted learning for students.

Oke said the support aligns with his commitment to strengthening technical and vocational education as a pathway to developing skilled young people and reducing unemployment and poverty.

Across the benefiting institutions, principals, parents, and students have been expressing appreciation for the gesture.

Mr. Olusegun Okediran, Principal of Gbongan Technical College, said the support had brought relief to many families, while Mrs. Oladimeji Musilimat of Technical College, Osu, described the intervention as a boost to learning in the college.

Principals of the technical colleges in Ara, Iwo, Ile-Ife, and Osogbo also commended the lawmaker for what they described as his consistent contribution to the development of technical education in the state.

Oke’s office noted that the messages of appreciation represent only a portion of the feedback received from the benefiting schools.
