House of Representatives Member-elect of Bwari/AMAC, Federal Constituency, Hon Micah Jiba, has said he is a strong supporter of the public school system and will be hard at work to support legislation designed to strengthen quality education.

The lawmaker who made the promise in a Children’s Day message signed by one of his aides, Dasha Bwari, said he would pay special attention to education, particularly in his constituency by “seeking alternative source of funding for the sector, before long.”

He said the move would allow more parents to send their children to school in rural communities, and called on authorities to be steadfast in children’s education, adding that government could not singlehandedly, fund schools, hence, the alternative source funding.
