He said that Etung Local Government Area is the second largest cocoa producer in Nigeria yet the people do not make commensurate gains from their only economic mainstay.
In an interview with Daily Trust, he said that as a legislator, he will initiate bills that will place cocoa in the front burner of discuss in the assembly to consolidate on the gains of the product.
Bishop Agbor who was the special assistant to the PDP state chairman, maintained that he would constantly remind the state governor of his promises of getting investors into the cocoa plantations and to lobby his colleagues to support the Etung cause.
Agbor noted that Etung  is the second largest producer of cocoa in Nigeria, which has  been assured of establishment of cocoa production facilities to boost the production and the local economy.
“As an assembly, we shall initiate bills that will aim to consolidate on the cocoa gains. In my first four years, I hope to be able to achieve establishment of the cocoa production facilities in Etung through effective representation and lobbying,” he stated.
Agbor maintained that if cocoa processing industry was established the state shall no longer export cocoa to be processed into other by-products at huge cost.
