Speaking recently during the Moro’a annual cultural day festival in Manchock, Kaura Local Government Area of the state, Hon Barde, who was the chairman of the occasion, said: “I am an agriculturist and from the look of Moro’a land I know that the land is very fertile. Look at the grasses, the trees and the environment you will see that it is a promising land for agricultural activities.
“Therefore, I call on all of us to go back to our root which is agriculture, so that with the dwindling resources in terms of the oil we can still boost our economic, cultural and environmental well-being. Government alone cannot address our development needs. We need government to collaborate with us and we also need to collaborate with the government. We must rise up and forcefully return back to our agriculture because it is the only option we have.”
He urged the people to endeavour to develop their skills in many entrepreneurial areas so that they can become self-reliant, stressing the need for peace in the area for development to be achieved.
