The petition dated 1st November, 2013 of reference No. DCO/MM/F.E.P-13 reads in part:
“Would the Nigerian Police Force which is currently laundering its image fail to investigate the D.C.O. alleged questionable acts? Could the D.C.O. be mightier then the duties he is expected to perform?”
The petitioner Barrister Folunruso Ogunekun alleged that the D.C.O failed to investigate a complaint by one Mosun Muhammed that one Corporal Nkechi who serves under the D.C.O.
According to the petitioner, the station’s office, one inspector Sylvester Amuulu had earlier intervened in the allegation of Mosun Muhammed and on the Thursday, the 31st day of October, 2013 at about 3.25p.m. had gone to intimate the D.C.O about his findings, the development and probably a way forward.
“To our uttermost surprise the D.C.O upon the receipt of Inspector Sylvester Amuulu’s findings, treated it with kid gloves,” the petitioner stated. The petitioner however accused the D.C.O of negligence, inaptitudeness, insensitiveness, professional incompetence and misconduct.
