Lawyers will today elect their new executive committee members to pilot the affairs of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

The Electoral Committee of the NBA (ECNBA) had last Friday announced commencement of the voting by electronic method from 12 noon on Saturday tiIl midnight on Sunday.

The statement by the Secretary of ECNBA, Bolaji Agoro, advised members to visit the link: www.evota.com.ng for the voting.

At least 16, 000 lawyers, which were accredited and verified by NBA’s ICT partner, Crenet Techlabs Ltd, will participate in the election from the 125 branches nationwide.

The election will produce 14 new national officials to take over from the Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN)-led executive committee, which came into office in 2016.

The position of president, which is zoned to the Eastern Zone, has Arthur Obi-Okafor (SAN), Paul Usoro (SAN) and Prof Ernest Ojukwu (SAN) as candidates.
