The Lead City University, Ibadan is embarking on rearing of cattle as part of its food security and entrepreneurship programme whereby students will be deployed to understudy and master the processes involved, the Vice chancellor of the institution, Professor Olufemi Onabajo has announced.
Unfolding this at the 9th Convocation ceremony of the University held in the Oyo State capital yesterday, the Vice Chancellor explained that the initiative was in addition to the bakery and poultry farm currently in existence in the institution.
The Vice Chancellor said the Lead City FM radio station was on air as a community and educational media platform complementing classroom teaching for all tertiary institutions in Ibadan with educational programmes comprising farming techniques, health and nutrition, sports activities, culture and local Nigeria languages.
