The Aminu Kano College of Islamic Legal Studies (AKCILS) National Alumni Exco has elected a Leadership newspaper journalist, Muhammad Bashir Aminu, as its publicity secretary.
AKCILS elected new executives on Wednesday at an event held at the institution’s premises.
Aminu was elected with 61 votes, defeating his opponents Rakiya Lawan, who scored 53 and Munir Ibrahim Bala, who got 50 votes.
He is a brilliant journalist with a career spanning a decade. He is currently the Head/Senior Content Manager Online at Leadership Newspaper (Hausa), Abuja.
Aminu began his career at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and in 2020 he joined Media Trust, the publisher of Daily Trust, Aminiya, Trust TV and Trust Radio.
