Learn Africa Nigeria Plc, producers of textbooks, has donated primary and secondary school textbooks worth N120 million to Kaduna State Government for onward distribution public schools.

The Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Hassan Bala, who presented the books Monday in Kaduna, said the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to support teaching and learning.

“We have done for other states too. We intend to extend to other group of schools and faith-based institutions such as the orphanages that are running schools and learning centres so that we are seen to be contributing to the development of education,” he said.

He said the books, worth N120 million, are useful in basic and senior secondary schools.

Responding Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Kande Nana Bage, assured that the books would be effectively utilized.

She said, “Government will also follow up to ensure that these books are utilized in our schools.”
