Yoruba entertainment industry has lost two of its own – actor Alhaji Ajiboye Fatai Onibuade and fast rising Fuji artiste, Olumide Awise.
Onibuade, popularly known as ‘Legend,’ was a veteran actor and also an active theatre arts practitioner. He was a chieftain of Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners, (ANTP) Lagos chapter.
He reportedly slumped in his living room on Tuesday, May 17 and died two hours later.
In another event, fast-rising Fuji artiste, Olumide Awise has passed on. Awise was confirmed dead in the early hours of Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
The Agege-based fuji star died in his Agbado home after a brief illness. He had since been buried according to Islamic injunction. Awise was well known for his ‘Fuji Lori Reggae’ album which also featured the renowned fuji star, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.
