Cases of sale of children across the country in recent time have increased. The worst and most dangerous trend is the situation where a father or mother sells off the child, which is now becoming rampant. It is most disheartening and the trend is alien to our culture. No level of poverty should push parents into such act. The government should monitor the situation closely and ensure that anyone caught in the act is punished thoroughly to serve as deterrent to others. Furthermore, any child rescued should be protected.
