I humbly write to draw the attention of the Nigerian health sector as well as offer suggestions for their unprepared attitude towards addressing so many health catastrophes that have been occurring in the country.
However, we shouldn’t always fold our hands and wait until the occurrence of deadly diseases that consume the lives of innocent Nigerians. A one-billion-dollar question is why does the Nigerian Ministry of Health always try to provide treatment or prevention to the victims of deadly diseases instead of discovering the underlying root causes of the situations?
We have to remain well-prepared and alert to any rising ailment before it prevails and spreads like a wildfire, thereby leading to untimely deaths. Exploring the root causes of the problem and thereby prioritising it is, therefore, a key to building healthy societies.
To this end, I urge the ministry concerned to hear my words of admonition and always act decisively to combat the fatality among the general populace.
