The new line of construction equipment which were unveiled at Leventis Motors Apapa, Lagos according to the Head, JCB Sales Leventis Motors, Yogesh Tripathi were aimed at boosting efficiency in construction processes.
He said Leventis Motors is an authorized dealer for Foton Trucks and JCB Equipment for PAN Nigeria with dedicated sales and after sales team and having support facilities in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Benin, Port Harcourt, Aba, Kano and Kaduna to provide support for these equipment.
Tripathi explained that JCB is one of the top three manufacturers of construction equipment operated in all the continents over 150 countries, with a full range of 300 models and has 22 factories in UK, USA, Germany, India and China.
He said the New JS 205 LC is specially designed to work under the tough working environment in Africa especially Nigeria with various developmental roads and housing construction schemes going on across the federation.
Tripathi stated, “This 21.5 ton 360 tracked excavator is having 140 HP cummins engine, six cylinder-inline DI pump.”
Tripathi said, “In 2009 Foton & Germany’s Daimler AG established a joint venture for the production of trucks.”

“German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao attended the signing ceremony.”
According to him, the Foton Daimler usage of Mercedes Benz technology optimizes the match to the chassis and has managed to increase transmission efficiency by five percent and fuel saving up to eight percent.
