The incident occurred during the commissioning of a renovated library at the school.
The chairman was seen shedding tears when he was taken round the school premises and saw how it was deteriorating owing to neglect by the authorities.
He denoted N100, 000 to the management of the school for the purchase of more books for the library.
The library was renovated by the old students association of the school through its 50th anniversary committee.
Dr. Amina Baloni, a member of the committee, said it was set up in 2007 during the school’s 50th anniversary celebration, and renovation of the library was among the projects to be executed for the school by the old boys association.
She expressed displeasure over the state of the school and called on the old students to renew their commitment towards developing the school.
The principal of the school, Hajiya Hauwa Idris, expressed gratitude to the old students for the gesture and urged them to do more for the school.
Kaduna Capital School which was established in 1957 and was regarded as one of the best schools in northern Nigeria has been facing problems in recent years due to poor and dilapidating state of its infrastructures.
