The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru El – Rufai should be commended politically for conducting a true local government election in Nigeria under the present political dispensation.

 It is the only local government elections ever held where opposition parties were politically and credibly accommodated.

 There was never a “Local Government Elections” in this Country since the rebirth of this Democracy but “Local Government Selections”.

 The APC Chieftain observed that  El-Rufai is the only elected Governor in the whole of the country that conducted a true and credible local government councils election,  while others conducted a kangaroo traditional elections.

 Opposition parties should commend him for conducting the most historic councils election in Nigeria where opposition party for the first time played its card naturally by winning more than four seats in  the just concluded councils election in Kaduna State.

 No single councilor seat talk less of chairmanship seat ever won in all the previous local governments elections conducted in Nigeria by both the ruling and opposition government be it APC, PDP, APGA etc. El-Rufai in his usual El –Rufai way came up with an electronic voting machine to eliminate the long standing rigging syndrome.
