LG Electronics named innovation leader at IFA Awards

LG Electronics has been crowned the innovation leader at the first-ever IFA Innovation Awards, taking home 17 honors including the highly coveted “Best of IFA” title.

The inaugural awards, introduced this year, celebrate excellence in innovation, technology, design and market impact. More than 1,800 companies competed across 16 categories, including Mobility, Home Appliances, Home Entertainment, Design and Smart Home.

At the center of LG’s victory was the LG SIGNATURE OLED T, the world’s first wireless transparent TV, which won Best of IFA and Best in Home Entertainment.

In addition, LG secured five Category Best awards in Mobility, Accessibility, Home Appliances and Home Entertainment. Its AI-powered mobility concept, Spielraum, was named Best in Mobility, while the Comfort Kit received Best in Accessibility for its inclusive design. In Home Appliances, the AI Sense Clean Dishwasher and Microplastic Filter earned the Best in Home Appliances award.

In the Best in Design category, four products – the Washer & Tumble Dryer Pair, TrueSteam Dishwasher, Next LG Massage Recliner, and Styler Mini – were honored for blending aesthetics with practicality. The company’s Robot Vacuum with Objet Station also earned recognition in the Smart Home category for its automated docking and ThinQ compatibility.

LG further strengthened its Home Entertainment credentials with Honoree awards for the Wireless OLED TV (M5) and StanbyME 2.

Managing Director of LG Electronics West Africa, Mr. Hyoung Sub Ji, said the achievements reflect LG’s global leadership and commitment to customers.

“Winning 17 honors, including the prestigious Best of IFA award, is a strong validation of LG’s leadership in innovation and customer-focused solutions,” he said, adding, “For us in Nigeria and across Africa, it reinforces our promise to deliver technology that is not only advanced, but also meaningful to everyday life.”
