Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pinnacle Communications Ltd, Lucky Omoluwa has demanded the sum of N1billion from the spokesperson of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Mrs Rashedat Oloduwa.
The suit, which was filed before an FCT High Court on December 13, 2018, alleged “malicious falsehood” against him at the commission’s website.
Omoluwa averred that the spokesperson accused him of repeated failure to honour invitations from the Commission to come and explain his role in the alleged N2.5bn Digital Switchover fraud.
Omoluwa wants the court to order the defendant to issue an apology and retraction in major national newspapers.
In addition, he wants an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendant and others from further such publications on its website.
No date has been fixed for hearing.
