Lincoln offers £3000 scholarship to student-journalists in Covenant University

This was disclosed at an interactive session held between officials of the University and student-journalists at the Mass Communication department of Covenant University.
Speaking on the development, Lincoln Director of College Academic Affairs and Principal lecturer in Journalism, Dr Ola Ogunyemi said graduating students of Covenant university who have upper credit and have shown interest in Lincoln University to pursue their Masters programmes would benefit from tuition fee discount of £3000. “Our student fees is £14719 while the scholarship is £3000. Benefiting students who meet the Upper Credit criterion and who are able to register on time will be required to pay £11719 tuition, with accommodation and living costs on top,” Dr Ogunyemi said.
According to Ogunyemi, the discount being granted to the students is as a result of an existing Memorandum of Understanding between Lincoln and Covenant university. “Of course this is not the first time a university will be signing an agreement with another university but most times, such agreement goes moribund. This particular process that has started here is like a pilot programme, hopefully it can be spread to other universities that have also signed similar MoU with Lincoln University,” Ola said.
