Addressing journalists at the association’s 31st National Convention held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ekpuk explained that the money was spent by the association to support the federal government in its quest to eradicate measles across the country.
Ekpuk who emphasised that the core of Lions Clubs existence is service to humanity, stated that the association had become the largest and most active global force for the transformation of communities and lives.
He said:  “The association also restores sight through eye screenings, eye bank development, distribution of eye glasses, surgeries and preventive eye care and ophthalmic research.”
