Daily Trust gathered that the lobbyists now trail the governor wherever he goes, including Abuja, where he has been since Monday.
The lobbyists are mostly politicians who believed that they should be compensated for their roles in the governor’s victory, a close associate of the governor who pleaded not to be named, said.
Al-Makura won his re-election in the April 11 governorship for another four years term. Since his election, it was gathered that the governor has not had it easy with lobbyists, whose number has continued to rise.
Yet, Al-Makura has not given an indication about what job he will give to which person and when he will name members of his next cabinet.
Daily Trust learnt that the lobbyists have devised various means to beat the suspense employed by Al-Makura. They have been trooping to his Lafia residences as well as Government House, either in person or through political godfathers, who apparently have better reasons to see the governor at a short notice.
