All is now set for the grand finale of the 5th edition of Orkuma Unity football tournament as the two finalists, Lobi penguins of Makurdi and St Michaels Ameladu are ready to rumble.

To reach the finals, Lobi Penguins against all odds defeated highly rated Benue Pros 5-4 on penalties while St Michaels led by their Parish Priest, Rev. Father Emmanuel Asue proved bookmakers wrong by eliminating Moses Orkuma Friends 1-0 in the other semi-final match on Wednesday.
Coach of Lobi Penguins, Timothy Imenger, is confident of victory over St Michaels as they both faceoff this afternoon.
“No cup final is easy so we are expecting a tough fight from our opponents. It will be a difficult match but I am confident that we shall triumph at the end of the day.
“Already we have a plan we are going to deploy against our opponents. My prayer is that nothing should go wrong. Once mother luck smiles on us, I am sure we shall come out victorious,” said Imenger.
Meanwhile, the sponsor of the tournament, Moses Orkuma has expressed satisfaction with the standard of play exhibited by the participating teams.
He said at least four players discovered in the tournament have received invitations for trials in some of the top clubs in North Africa.
The winner of today’s finals will smile to the bank with N200,000, runners up N150,000 while the third place team will go home with N120,000.
There will also be cash prizes for the Highest Goalscorer, Most Valuable Player (MVP), best behaved Team and Best Goalkeeper.
