The former Challenge Cup winners who lost their week one encounter 2-3 to Rangers FC of Enugu will put in everything today to win in order to garner their first points of the season.
Head of Lobi Stars coaching crew and former International, Mr. Dominic Iorfa is already talking tough.
He said what Lobi needs is the three points as they would not settle for anything less. The former NFF Executive Committee member who recently doubled as the team’s Technical Adviser said Sharks is a good side but they will surely fall because his players’ morale is really high ahead of today’s match.
“We want to win so as to pocket our first three points. In our week one encounter against Rangers, we did not deserve to lose but that is now history. My players did their best but certain factors denied us victory”.
Iorfa said playing away from home will not have adverse effect on his team as he said Taraba is home to the team.
“We are sure of support because Taraba is home to Lobi Stars. The players will not lack support today”.
Lobi Stars will be counting on the experience of Abaya Terfa, Agbawu John, Samaila Suleiman, Zango Umar to ward off Sharks attackers while youthful Kingsley Odoh who scored a brace against Rangers last week would be called upon to marshal the mid-field.
Coach of Sharks FC, John Obuh told Trustsports that his players are ready for Lobi Stars.
He said since they have been engaged in continental matches, they are in good shape for the encounter.
Obuh said no coach goes into a match with defeat in mind so he is going to Jalingo for the maximum points.
“We are ready for the match. Nobody goes into a battle with defeat in his mind. Lobi Stars is an experience side but we hope to do our best”.
Lobi will have to contain with Sharks’ vastly experienced striker Victor Ezeji, Odinga Odinga, Anubi Kolawale, Ezimorah Chinedu, and Flying Eagles pair of Fortune Chukwudi and Terry Envoh.
