The National Alumni Association, Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo has charged government at all levels to design stimulus packages that will ensure that persons with disabilities (PWDs) are supported during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Acting President of the association Chief Mrs Modupe Abiona  who made the call in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja by its National Public Relations Officer Ojo Olayinka noted that most disabled people in Nigeria rely on the supports provided by family members  and care givers whose means of livelihoods have been affected due to lockdown across the country.

“Children with special educational needs must be factored into all short time education plans of the government so that they can get all the help they need to keep abreast of their education at this worrying time”. The statement said.
