Lokpobiri’s allies dominate Bayelsa APC exco

The close political allies of the Minister of Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, have dominated the new leadership structure in Bayelsa State.

At the state delegate congress held on Tuesday, Lokpobiri’s long time political allies, Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba, emerged as the Bayelsa State Chairman of APC.

Also, Barr. Japane Udoji, emerged as the State Secretary of APC.

Ogoriba, a former National Assembly member representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma federal constituency, was the Director General of Lokpobiri’s campaign during the 2019 governorship primaries of the party.

Also, most of the allies of former Governor Timipre Sylva, who had before this controlled the structures in the party, were missing from the new leadership structures in the state.

Those who have emerged from the congress include; Hon. Warman Weri Ogoriba – Chairman, Hon. Ayobegha James – Deputy Chairman, Barr. Japan Odoji – Secretary and Hon. Ebi Waribigha – Senatorial Zonal Vice Chairman (East Senatorial District).

 

Others include; Hon. Godbless Akedeowei Diriwari – Senatorial Zonal Vice Chairman (Central Senatorial District), Hon. Akwakwa B. Akwakwa – Senatorial Zonal Vice Chairman (West Senatorial District), Rose Itoko Amadi – Woman Leader, Hon. Martins Alabo – Auditor, Hon. Ishmael Okpo – Financial Secretary, Hon. Abi Morris Bako – Youth Leader, Hon. Okosufa Tonye Humphrey – Welfare Secretary, Hon. Preye Prefa – Treasurer, Barr. Ebiotu Seleketimi – Legal Adviser, Hon. James Inegite – Publicity Secretary and Hon. Paul Orubo – Organizing
