What is Association of African Gospel Ministers Network?

The Association of African Gospel Ministers Network was given to me by a revelation in 2005. I’m a member of PFN and CAN but as a travelling minister, I organised meetings and I discovered that something is missing in our midst. We are not united the way we should.

The Lord gave me the revelation of this network—that I should go and bring African pastors together as a sign of genuine love for innocent children. That was in 2005. In 2009 when I was in Dares Salam to represent a senior friend of mine—a black American in the US from North Caroline in a meeting, we had 15 African ministers from 14 countries who came to minister in the conference. God gave me the revelation that had to do with every one of them. Right there I shared the vision and all of them bought the vision.

The vision is to restore apostolic love missing in the body of Christ: where we can own this together and share together; I can defend your ministry, you defend mine; I can share knowledge I have that helps me grow for you to also grow without holding any ideas; where we can see ourselves as one without fighting one another.

The vision started from there. The pastors left with the vision to start in their various countries: South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda. From there, it spread to other African countries.

In February 2011, we started it in Nigeria. We started fellowshipping in Abuja. Now, we have three chapters of this network in Abuja with good number of ministers attending. We are planning its main inauguration so the network will move up.

What is the coming conference about?

We want senior fathers both within and outside the country to inaugurate us, men that have made impact in the ministry to pray for us and release us so that we will start fellowshipping really in this country and beyond.

What do we expect during the conference?

We have a lot of programmes to teach ministers so they learn and catch fire into their ministries. We meet at least once a month to share ideas. So in this conference, as many that attend will never be the same. We are bringing guest speakers within and outside Africa. People are participating from different nations.  It’s going to be power-packed. There is going to be a lot of revelations and knowledge of the word of God.

What is the relationship between this organisation and CAN?

One of the speakers is a leader in PFN. You know, PFN and CAN is a very big body here. The fathers know about this network because we have taken it to them to say this is the vision God has given us and we have started it. In this meeting, many of them will be present to be a blessing to us.

Some persons have been tackling CAN president Ayo Oritsejafor over his comments. Have you been monitoring his activities particularly with regard to challenges the body of Christ is facing?

It’s very unfortunate that in his tenure all this is happening. But he is a great man of God. We believe in what he is doing. Our aim in this very association is to bring the gospel ministers in Africa together to pray for the  nations of Africa and beyond as elders of the land. We are praying for him, we are praying for the nation, we are prying for the body of Christ.

What message have you for Christians and pastors?

The bible says the greatest gift a man can give is love. If we have the real love of God, all these things we talk about will disappear. If I love you, I won’t hurt you. It is the missing love in the body of Christ we are trying to restore. We are serving one God irrespective of our signboards and various assignments—it is one purpose—to fulfil the purpose of God.

My message to the Christian body is let’s go back to the roots to discover why God called us—to love ourselves, to do the work of God without deceit. I believe, if we do that, there will be a difference.
