Accreditation of voters started around 8:00 am in Damaturu, Dapchi and Babangida areas of Yobe State, even as voter turnout was on the low side.
Our correspondent who went round some polling units, reports improvement on the use of card readers compared to the April 28 presidential and National Assembly elections.
A voter, Salisu Alkasim, said “People were more interested in the last election, because voters came out en masse around 6:00 am and queued up for accreditation, but look at the situation today, up till now, the queue is not impressive”.
