Radio personality Melody Ifeanyi Adigo, popularly known as M.I.A, has marked her first anniversary at Soundcity 98.5 FM, Lagos.

M.I.A, whose career began in 2018 as a Top 5 finalist in the Inspiration FM Next Radio Superstar competition, joined Jamz 100.1 FM Ibadan as an intern before earning a full-time role in 2020. By 2021, she was on Beat 97.9 FM, where she built a reputation for her energetic presentation and engaging interviews.

In 2024, she moved to Lagos to join Soundcity FM, one of the country’s biggest youth-focused radio stations. Over the years, she has interviewed several top Nigerian artists, including Davido, Asake, Joeboy, Oxlade, Timaya, and Black Sherif.

Off radio, M.I.A has hosted and participated in a number of major entertainment events such as Play with M.I.A, Spotify Wrapped, the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), Flytime Fest, and Mainland Block Party.

Marking her Soundcity milestone, M.I.A said her journey from Ibadan to Lagos has been defined by growth and connection with listeners.
